Merengue is surely the easiest door to the world of Latin dancing. It contains the rhythm, the joyous sensuality and the typical body movements of many other Caribbean dances, but at a slower pace and without the challenging footwork which makes learning salsa, samba or lambada so difficult.

This video will teach you how to dance Merengue from the very foundations of the hip movements and basic steps to more advanced figures. The video is not only easy to follow, but also visually spectacular. All the figures are presented with the breathtaking Australian scenery in the background. All the moves are demonstrated in the amazing beaches, parks, rocky coastlines and deserts of Western Australia.

The video contains 19 figures. Starting from some simple moves, you will progress to intermediate and then to some very challenging figures, allowing you to progress smoothly and at your own pace.

But there is more to Merengue than the moves. Merengue is about a feeling of intimacy and connection with your partner. The figures we teach are all designed to help you develop this connection.

The video contains several hints on how to interpret your merengue, enrich your dancing, decorate your moves, improve your style and make your dancing more original and creative.

Once you have learnt all the material in the video, you will be able to extract the figures and export them into other dances if you so wish. But, more importantly, you will know how to make a figure FEEL like Merengue. You will know how to dance Merengue.
