SuperMario

Super Moves 1

Level: Int-Adv

Style: LA-NY

Content: Figures

General Comment: SuperMario well deserves his 'Super' name, and his 'thousands moves' reputation. Just watch him on the dance floor improvise and lead 'impossible to lead' moves and you can't avoid being impressed. This video demonstrates a lot of his art. The figures (10 of them) are very nice and original. The introduction of the video contains an explanation of the basic ingredients necessary to construct all figures. The video is filmed with a fixed camera and with no slow motions. However, all material is very well explained. Susana Montero partners Supermario in the video and adds style as well as all the instructions needed by the lady dancers. A recommended buy.

Super Moves 2

Level: Int-Adv

Style: LA-NY

Content: Figures

General Comment: Another supervideo with supermoves. I just think SuperMario is a genius of salsa. Maybe my view is biased because of my own passion for complicated or clever moves, but this video contains enough to amaze and keep you busy for a while. 10 moves, same format as the other DVDs of this series, simple camera view, but great instructions from Mario and Susana. The end of the video contains a few takes of SuperMario social dancing, by far his greatest skill.. if you have never seen him live, it is well worth admiring.

Super Moves 3

Level: Adv

Style: LA-NY

Content: Figures

General Comment: If the other videos of this series contain supermoves, this one contains HyperMoves!! The advanced version of volume 1 and 2. Truly, the figures are not that much more difficult to execute, they are just more clever and look more complicated. Great video.
